Memories of Summer

I sit by the window watching winds bring chilled death to bright flowers. Trees must drop their leaves and slumber until spring. Yet my inside my mind it is as if my senses and thoughts glow still as when my lidded eyes were turned toward the summer sun and radiated the colors of warmpth and of life.
